He's home!
Klaus vom Alt-Ostland Born Jan 5, 2007
pictured at 14 months)
Sire : Peter vom Gleisdreieck (Security K9) AD BH a-normal
Dam: UKC CH/UCI INT CH Heidi v Odland SchH1 a-fast normal
This is a very exciting pedigree for DDR enthusiasts who want a strong working pedigree, with some of the better East German working dogs, as evidenced by their participation in the higher level trials.
In the second generation is Heidi’s sire, Nando vd Gnitzer Höhen SchH3 IPO3, (BSP, and 2x LGA). In the next generation are Peter’s grandsires: Brando vd Marderklause SchH3 ( 4x LGA), and Mingo v Rummelplatz SchH3( 2x BSP). Peter's paternal grandsire, Irko v Peri-Hof SchH3, was a DDR Meisterschaft Sieger and BSP/3x LGA competitor. Peter is also linebred 4-3 on the legendary Lord v Gleisdreieck SchH3 FH3, 3x DDR Meisterschaft SGR, and 2x Europameister. Lord’s dam, Blacky v Gleisdreieck SchH3 FH3, was a 4x DDR MS competitor, twice Siegerin and twice Vice-Siegerin. Blacky’s full older sister, Afra v Gleisdreieck SchH3 FH3 PSH3, also in Peter’s pedigree, was a 5x DDR-MS competitor, 3x Siegerin and 2x Vice-Siegerin, and said by many who remember seeing her work, to be quite possibly the best working bitch ever. Blacky and Afra were sired by Hondo v Haus Welsch SchH3 FH3, a 4x DDR MS competitor..
He's in shock, coming from Washington state, so as soon as he sheds out, I'll try to get some good stacked photos of him!
Looking at Klaus, I cannot wait to see how the Heidi-Wotan litter turns out, as the pedigree is over 3/4 the same! Klaus is right at 26", 80 lbs and Wotan is a taller dog than Peter. _________________ Judy Malone

Tracy,
I have to confess I'm geographically challenged outside of Texas
Not sure what part they were in, but he shipped out of Spokane.
He already looks different, after a couple of hours of combing last night Wait til he meets the industrial blower... it'll be an F4 fur-nado. _________________ Judy Malone

That is what I THOUGHT. He IS an Easterner! I have yet to see a "Coastie" with a coat like that! THat is how my black females coat looks right now! They look like they came from Alaska.
Poor Mako will probably have a winter coat like a "Whooly Mammoth"!
(Coastie, is what those from "the other side of the mountains" [as in the west side.] are called. ) |

My new houseboy - chilling out on my bed, with no apparent concern about the little bicolor Chupacabra sacked out behind him.

I'm telling you, the pics don't even capture this head... I'm still (continually) blown away by it.
And he's a BIG cover-hog, Julie _________________ Judy Malone
