Well Tika finally went Tracking today. We had the best training day today. She did really great for her first time. Just a straight track.
It turned into a dog day today. We went tracking, did some obedience and agility and also Carting. Tika will be started on Carting once she gets a little more mature. I dont want her to damage anything before she is full grown.

I want to start some of mine weight-pulling. Just not 100% sure where to start. Any ideas, Roger?
The Chupacabra is about as bright as his sister it appears. I kept wondering why he would climb up and plop his big furry butt on top of me and site there and grumble whenever I sat in my recliner. Turns out he's only doing that because I'm in his way... he's claimed the recliner as his, and sleeps in it fairly regularly, spending more time in it than I do! _________________ Judy Malone

Tika thinks everyone one should pay attention to her, and everything should be what she wants. She had a few scuffs with my adult female Corgi and I thought she was going to be afraid of her forever because of it.
NOPE.. Not hardly. She has just learned that when someone growls or snaps at her, not to let go of the toy and she will win because they have to drop it to snap at her. She is a P.E.R.S.I.S.T.A.N.T. little bugger.
Thus far, she gets whatever she wants. She has amazing drive.

I have never heard of anyone doing weight pull with GSDs, but to build wind, strength and endurance, and for less pulling for records or anything....you would want a very good fitting weight pull harness and start with pulling a heavy chain(s) on a walk. They make small bar weights that can then be attached to the chain links.
I've done some weight pulling in Irondog events, but I'm not an expert at it or anything. |

Here are some pictures I took of Tika today. She is growing up and turning into quite the girl. She has tons of drive and wins all the races to the toys at my house. Even beats that bratty Corgi Emma.
she is a pleasure to have around.

Judy,
I am still waiting for Quindt pictures. I can't stand the suspence.. hehe
Tika and I are starting Basic Obedience in about 2 weeks, on the same night Rookie and i are starting Agility again. Plus he is still doing the Carting, which the next class is on Friday and we get to "hook em up" Tika will start that as soon as she is a little older. Dont want to stress her before she grows up.
